Tentura has been the traditional liqueur of Patra for well over a century. Pilavas Tentura Liqueur, winner of the 2013 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, combines the aromas of carnation, cinnamon and nutmeg with extracts of Mavrodafni, Patra's famous sweet red wine.
Considered by many critics to be the benchmark by which other Tentura’s are measured, Pilavas Tentura Liqueur is perfect as an after-meal drink or as a cocktail mixer. For those who prefer their liqueurs straight up in a shot glass, serve it chilled. Tentura can also be used in a drink called “corretto” when added to espresso coffee. You can also serve it at room temperature.
Traditionally presented in a dark, orange reddish color at a high proof (around 25% by volume), Pilavas Tentura Liqueur has a similar style to the bitters of Germany and the Italian amaros.
